
“Nathan Shewell ripped from me the joy and love of performing and replaced it with the toxic and abusive environment he cultivated at North Central. In the suit, the former students allege that members of the faculty ignored complaints about Shewell for years. The students, all part of Shewell’s theater program, allege he was abusive and predatory, grooming them to become sexual partners and harassing students who rebuffed his efforts – even encouraging students to commit suicide.
